Our exhibition “Corazones Sin Fronteras” focuses on the universal borderless symbolism of the human heart, a subject that has captivated artists throughout history. Represented as a religious emblem or a symbol of love, the heart is the only human organ consistently represented in nearly every aspect of imagery. “Corazones Sin Fronteras” is a collection of works by artists incorporating the symbols of the human heart.

 

“Corazones Sin Fronteras” is also our homage to the borderlands we call home. Today, the U.S.-Mexico border is constantly being presented as a place of danger and violence. Living here, however, we know the borderlands are our home, our heart - it’s a place of humanity, solidarity, and compassion. Our borderlands are a place of Hearts without Borders.
